How to Order Mystery Boxes
Ordering mystery boxes is the supply chain backbone of My Squishy Box Store. Unlike casual unboxing games where you open one package at a time, this simulator expects you to run a retail operation — boxes arrive at your order station, you reveal Dumpling Squishies inside, and stock shelves before customers arrive.
Understanding the order terminal early prevents the frustrating cycle of running out of inventory mid-rush. This guide covers where to order, how batch sizes scale with upgrades, and how Update 3 improved bulk-buy access through the shop menu.
Finding the Order Terminal
Your shop contains a computer or POS terminal that opens the ordering interface. Walk up and interact with the prompt, or press C to open the shop menu and navigate to the order section. The terminal lists every mystery box tier your current level unlocks with per-unit and bulk prices displayed.
Before level 6, you manage orders yourself — no restocker NPC delivers boxes to shelves automatically. Plan order sessions when customer traffic is low so shelves stay full during peak buying windows.
Batch Sizes and Bulk Orders
Early progression supports ordering four mystery boxes per transaction for basic tiers. This batch size matches the shelf capacity most new players have before the Bigger rack upgrade. After Update 3, the shop menu surfaces bulk options more clearly, reducing accidental single-box purchases.
Higher store levels unlock larger batch quantities and more expensive box tiers with better rarity odds. Reinvest Cash into shelf capacity before upgrading box quality — empty premium shelves earn nothing while you wait for the next order cycle.
From Order to Shelf
After confirming an order, boxes appear in your inventory or delivery area depending on shop layout. Open each box to reveal squishies, then carry them to display shelves. Place higher-rarity pulls on shelves nearest the entrance where customer traffic concentrates.
Once you reach level 6, hire a restocker to automate shelf replenishment from stored inventory. Until then, batch your unboxing and stocking into single efficient loops — order four, open four, stock four, serve customers, repeat. See our staff guide for automation unlock details.
Order Priority by Game Phase
Early game: Order the cheapest box tier that still yields Rare pulls occasionally. Volume matters more than tier quality when shelves are small.
Mid game: Shift toward mid-tier boxes once Bigger shelves hold more inventory per restock trip.
Late game: Focus on top-tier boxes during events with boosted Secret and Shiny rates — events page.
